Lower Mission is located from south of K.L.O. Road to Barnaby Road and from the shores of Okanagan Lake to Swamp Road and Benevoulin Road, situated in between Kelowna South and Upper Mission. In Lower Mission you'll find almost everything from modest single family homes to luxury lakefront properties. There are also a number of retirement communities close to all services and amenities. Just a 5 minute drive to Downtown Kelowna and a 5 minute drive into Upper Mission where you can visit some of the best wineries and get spectacular views of the lake and city. Lower Mission is a desirable neighbourhood close to beaches, boat launches, marinas, schools, shopping, and services. Mostly flat land makes for easy walking and biking routes. A popular area for young couples, families, and retirees alike. It is one of the most sought-after areas due to its central location and proximity to everything you need. The H20 Centre and the Capital News Centre Arena are located close by on Gordon Drive and Lequime Road and you are close to many of the great schools in the area as well as the Okanagan College Kelowna Campus.

Living in Lower Mission

Residents of this area enjoy walking or biking the Mission Creek Greenway and relaxing on the many beaches that stretch along the shoreline, including the popular Boyce-Gyro Beach and Rotary Park. You don't need a waterfront property to enjoy a day on the lake. There is a boat launch on Cook Road and full service marinas where you can store your boat. Pandosy Village, which is partially in Kelowna South and partially in Lower Mission is a favorite destination to enjoy some daytime shopping or have a few drinks at Mission Tap House, Canadian Brewhouse, or one of the micro breweries in the area. And the resorts are not just for tourists. Local residents often visit the lakefront patio restaurants at Manteo Resort and Hotel Eldorado. All amenities are close by so you won't have to travel far to get what you need and it's only a 10 minute drive to downtown Kelowna. Families with children often choose the Lower Mission because of the great schools and close proximity to amenities like the H20 Centre, Capital News Centre Arena, and many daycare options.
